The Maths Behind the Calculation

Due Date = LMP + 280 Days + (Cycle Length - 28)

We use Naegele's Rule, adding 1 year, subtracting 3 months, and adding 7 days to your LMP. We then adjust for cycle lengths longer or shorter than the standard 28 days.

Is my due date exact?

Only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Most are born within two weeks before or after.

How are pregnancy weeks counted?

Weeks are counted from the first day of your last period, not from the date of conception. This means you are technically '2 weeks pregnant' when you conceive.
