The Maths Behind the Calculation

Area = ½ × b × h or Heron's Formula

When base and height are known, Area = ½bh. When only sides a, b, and c are known, we use Heron's formula: Area = √[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)], where s is the semi-perimeter (a+b+c)/2.
