The Maths Behind the Calculation

Pythagorean Theorem: w² + h² = d²

Since width and height are proportional to the aspect ratio (w/h = r), we use trigonometry: Width = d * cos(arctan(h_ratio/w_ratio)) and Height = d * sin(arctan(h_ratio/w_ratio)).
